Posted On: 09/15/2022 After reading the Yelp and Google reviews I was really frightened about my visit to this dentist to be honest. The reason I chose them is because none of my friends recommend their dentists.My old dentist was great (besides the fact that they don't answer the phone) but it just had gotten too far for me to travel (and just to be fair their Google and Yelp reviews are awful as well.) So I figure can't judge a dentist on what people say.I have to go on my own experience. But still I was weary.

I went for a cleaning. And after the X-rays I saw the dentist. Then I saw the hygienist.

The X-ray guy was kind of a jerk honestly. As soon as I told him I was here for only stuff my insurance would cover (I figured I would set my boundaries after reading the reviews that they offer lots of out of pocket stuff) he was like well maybe your insurance could recommend another dentist office to you. And I was like you don't do insurance covered stuff. Then he backtracked and said well I don't handle the money stuff.

But the dentist was really really nice. I told him I was just here for insurance covered stuff. As the other reviewers mentioned he offered me braces. But I do need braces my teeth are really crooked. But he didn't push me on it. He said everything else was fine. We talked about options with my crowns if there was ever a problem. He was really really nice. He didn't offer to do any procedures that I didn't need. He told me what he thought I didn't need and what my insurance wouldn't cover. I really liked him.

Then the hygienist came. She was very nice and polite. She made sure I was ok during the whole procedure. But the cleaning was kind of fast I think. And unlike my old dentist she didn't use a tartar scraper tool on my teeth. She just used an electric device and polished. And I asked her about it and she said that she had gotten my teeth totally clean without it. I don't know.

Update: In April of 2026 I tried to make another appointment with this office. I hadn't been there for three years. I was willing to give it another try. And I was told my account is suspended and has been for the last three years and that I couldn't make an appointment. I asked why. The answer wasn't clear. I am assuming it's because of this Google review. Though the office orginally responded to this review with come again. They are now banning people for 3 star reviews. It isn't even a 1 star review. I highly recommend people avoid a dental practice that can't take a little constructive criticism.

My review was originally 3 stars. But I am changing it to 1 star after this interaction with them. Andrea K

This place will not even provide you with a written statement of the treatment provided and yet they charge $1000s for their service. Posted On: 04/07/2022 The treatment plan coordinator is a SCAMMER. 👉🏽Before👈🏽 the dentist even saw me she came in the room saying I needed antibiotics injected into my gums and that I needed invisalign bracers. She told me the antibiotic treatments would cost $5000 dollars. The dentist did my cleaning and said my gums were fine and I didn’t need bracers. I have also noticed there are a lot of seemingly fake profiles leaving fake reviews. Huge red flag 🚩. Stay away from this place. Rage

Went in for a simple fill in and the dark skin Spanish girl said I need $5000 dollars for a precedure , and said I need a root canal not a fill in .she didn't even do any test to confirm I need $5000 Procedure. went to my walk in dentist for second opinion and got a fill in on the tooth she said I need a root canal on..and he said we will start with a simple teeth cleaning and then he schedule me to come back for a deep clean... He never mentioned anything about $5000 procedure....they starving to charge your insurance at this place...low class and just looking for a reason to charge money .. that's my experience with canarsie family cosmetics dentistry... I had a emergency visit for pain in my right jaw which turned into a prophylaxis visit . She didn’t check my teeth to see if it was a cavity but instead gave me a referral for my wisdom tooth to be removed and ibuprofen . Sharisse M

Posted On: 03/20/2022 First and last time going to this place!! My teenage son recently had a dental appointment there and at first it was going great. The front desk staff were polite as well as the dental hygienist Rosa. However, the dental assistant was not. He was rude and prejudice. Long story short, he made my son’s bleed and then try to say it was bleeding b/c he eats too many snacks, soda and unhealthy meals. ( also my child doesn’t have any cavities) Then he proceeded to ask if my son consumes those things? My son said no! He said “ you don’t have to lie!” That’s when I intervened and said “he doesn’t drink soda or eat unhealthy food!” My son eats healthy snacks, meals and drink soda, I won’t allow anything else. I felt like our race played a part in his prejudice comment and him not believing my child when he responded to his question. After we left, my son even noticed his negative disposition and for that reason I can’t return. Mirrored Souls Love M

Posted On: 02/26/2022 I had an appointment for my 7 year old today at 330, we checked in at 337 and weren’t called until 5:01, it’s now 5:10 and the visit is already over. To wait almost 90 minutes to be seen only for 9 minutes is absolutely ridiculous. There was nothing attentive about this visit whatsoever, it was very rushed and ridiculous. He was previously seen at the other location on Avenue L and it was a much better experience. Not to mention this was not our original appointment, the original was 2/12 and was canceled a few days before the appointment with no explanation. I’m completely dissatisfied. Karine W
