Posted On: 02/10/2026 Literally the worst service ever. I sat here for almost two hours just for them to tell me they marked me as a no show. No communication and literally wasted my time giving me the run around just for them to tell me I have to call my insurance for a referral which no one stated when I called that morning. Literally a mess and I’m disappointed as someone that works in the dental field. Don’t come here. Tara B

Posted On: 02/06/2026 Honestly this will be the realist review you will get yesterday I had a appointment for 2:30 I got there around 2:11 I didn’t get called in till 4:23 they took x ray of my teeth and honestly I have one tooth in the back that been hurting me so bad so as soon the x ray was done the doctor which. Was a male stood by the door didn’t even come in the room he was like yeah you going to need implants which is 2,500 or get it pulled out so I’m like okay I understand that I was like can I get my cracked teeth fixed he was like no that’s 2,000 to get it replaced I was like other places fixed it for me with no problem mind you he didnt even look for him self I waited 2 hours for 5 mins very unprofessional and I feel like he is lazy didn’t even offer a clean or anything stood by the door the whole time if I knew I was going to waste my time I could have went somewhere else to more professional place. Posted On: 01/30/2026 Canarsie Cosmetic Family Dental was a complete waste of time. I came in for a scheduled cleaning and waited an hour and a half without being seen. The worst part was the lack of professionalism — the staff was standing around laughing while patients were waiting, and there was zero communication or updates on what was going on. No apology, no explanation, nothing. I eventually just walked out. If you value your time, I do not recommend this place. Justin W

Posted On: 01/21/2026 My experience at Canarsie Cosmetic Family Dental was a complete waste of time and showed a serious lack of professionalism.
I came in for a routine dental cleaning using my active Healthfirst insurance, something very basic. Instead of providing that service, they refused to do the cleaning altogether. The only thing they were interested in discussing was an “antibiotic treatment” costing around $5,500 out of pocket. As a student, being pushed toward an unnecessary and extremely expensive treatment instead of a standard, covered cleaning was frustrating and unrealistic. There were no reasonable alternatives offered, no clear explanation, and no consideration for my insurance or financial situation.
The entire visit felt sales-driven rather than patient-focused. Between the upselling and the refusal to provide basic care, the experience came across as unprofessional and dismissive of my actual needs. If you’re a student or anyone seeking basic dental care with insurance, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Raheel Z

Posted On: 01/13/2026 Canceled my appointment that i set up almost 2-3 weeks in advance and I’ve been playing phone tag with the scheduling department ever since 😩

If my appointment is for restorative work, I just feel like there should be some kind of prioritization to reschedule especially when I never canceled. Super annoying and it seems like they outsource for customer service and the people don’t even physically work anywhere near the office due to the fact that I literally ALWAYS need a call back rather than the problem handled at the time of.

Posted On: 12/21/2025 Its not a bad clinic. I had a few visits they are very friendly. But what was really annoying I noticed was a pattern. EVERY TIME I came for a clean up they tried to force deep cleaning on you which is more expensive and they have to run your credit blabla. It kept repeating every time I came and using the exact same words as if the person didn’t recognize me until I noticed okay this has to be some sort of tactic. And when you refuse they do a clean up that doesn’t really change anything as if you could’ve done it yourself at home. Like its all a tactic to get you to spend the big bucks on the deep cleaning. there was one time where one doctor came in and examined/treated me and it was a great experience he was very professional and friendly but I regret not remembering his name, this was a couple years ago btw. but yeah I was getting overwhelmed with that repetitive forcing and stopped going there. I had a really bad experience at this dental office. I came in with a toothache and told them I was in pain and needed help. They took X-rays, but after that, nothing was done to actually fix the problem or help with my pain.

The dentist looked at my teeth and said I needed a filling, but the receptionist later told me they didn’t have any appointments available until March of next year. I couldn’t believe it — I came in for an urgent issue, and they expect me to wait months just to get it treated.

To make things worse, after the dentist left, another person came in and started trying to sell me on other expensive dental services like getting a bridge and other procedures that had nothing to do with why I was there.

It really felt like they were more focused on upselling and billing my insurance than actually helping me with my pain. I left just as uncomfortable as when I came in — and extremely frustrated. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for genuine, patient-focused care. Nickell J
