Posted On: 07/01/2024 My boyfriend went here today, run FAR and fast. He needed a tooth pulled and they said it would be 15,000 dollars because he needed 'bone grafts', which as I see from the reviews they tell EVERYONE with tooth pain and medicaid. NEVER have I been to the dentist or ANYONE I know who has not had a cleaning. They did not even clean his teeth. That is bare minimum besides WHATEVER treatment you consent to. They are absolute scammers if you have Medicaid. They only care about money. When I spoke to the 'Treatment Coordinator' she was VERY unprofessional and kept telling me that I will come back and point my fingers and blame the facility when we declined this EXORBITANT and unexpected option, when I simply asking if a 'bone graft' would be necessary and other options WHICH SHE COULD NOT ANSWER BECAUSE SHE IS NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, she basically told me no. I am a registered nurse and ANY DOCTOR, dentist or otherwise should spend more than 10 seconds looking in someone's mouth and then leave the 'Treatment Coordinator' to explain options to the patient. He had questions, doctor did not spend any time talking about options, alternatives and this woman is not a medical professional, cannot give informed consent. No questions answered, ZERO service or cleanliness. Dental hygienist will take xrays and clean teeth, then dentist does examination. NONE OF THAT WAS DONE. XRAY > 10 SECOND LOOK > DENTIST LEAVES> COORDINATOR IN>15,000 DOLLARS. What a shame. I will be reporting you to the proper authorities. That's like having patient relations trying to give informed consent on an operation. How do you SKIP explaining a procedure and treatment options immediately ask if you want to pay for it? A joke.

UPDATE:
HE WENT TO A REAL DENTIST AT KINGS COUNTY DENTAL OFFICE AND PULLED THE TOOTH. DOCTOR TOLD HIM STRAIGHT UP AFTER HE TOLD THE DR THE STORY OF CANARSIE FAMILY DENTAL, 'THAT IS A COMMON SCAM. YOU DONT NEED A BONE GRAFT.'

So wow! Look at that! No surprise we knew that when we left but I had to come back and update everyone. They're money hungry! They don't even clean people's teeth and they're forcing unnecessary medical procedures on people for financial gain, THAT IS A CRIME! Benji M

The staff makes relationship building a priority with empathy, compassion, and patient education being at the forefront of the care delivery model. I’ve been coming here for a few years now and I am always educated about all procedures, risks, and benefits. Even when I have questions, the staff remain patient and educate me so I can make a truly informed decision about my dental health. Rosa, Chasity, Kay, Jennifer & Dr. T made me feel comfortable and educated for a procedural visit. I will continue to come here and refer anyone to this practice. It’s great to know that I can obtain quality dental care locally instead of leaving my neighborhood to do so. Kudos to the entire team for continuing to deliver quality and compassionate care to Canarsie residents! Ashley C

Posted On: 06/21/2024 Please Run Far Away from this Dentist. I agree with the 1 star reviews. They are Money Hungry. Had an appointment today. The reason for my visit was for a deep cleaning. They tried to have me set up a payment plan for $5,000 because they said my insurance doesn’t cover deep Cleanings. They lied. I contacted my insurance after I left, they said it’s covered at 100 percent. My insurance said the same thing as the amount being insane to charge people that. I knew better to let someone scam me out of $5,000. I’m a single mother with kids. If you got a lot of money to just be throwing away, this is the place for you. I will be canceling my kids appointment at the other location. Cece D
